Ecuador, like other countries, is looking for ways to improve English instruction and the CEFR helps set goals.  Education First (2017) ranked Ecuador number 55 out of 72 countries on English Proficiency.

Therefore this action research consist on adding more English contact hours to reach international standards  b2 level to English learners in an Ecuadorian Public University, here you can find the results of this experiment.
